Soonwise is built so that your data stays yours. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your information when you use the app.

The short version

Soonwise does not collect any personal data. There is no account to create, no sign-up, and no login.
Your tasks stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. Soonwise syncs through Apple's CloudKit using your personal iCloud account. The developer has no access to your iCloud data and cannot see your tasks.
No ads, no cross-app tracking. Soonwise shows no advertising and never tracks you across other apps or websites. It uses one privacy-first analytics service (TelemetryDeck) for anonymous, aggregate usage data — never personal data — which you can turn off any time in Settings.
The app works fully offline. An internet connection is only used by iCloud to sync between your own devices.

What data Soonwise stores, and where

Soonwise stores the tasks, projects, notes, tags, and completion history you create. This information is kept:

On your device, in the app's local database.
In your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), if you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud sync enabled. This lets your data appear across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

App settings (such as your forecast confidence and limits) are stored in iCloud Key-Value Storage so they stay consistent across your devices.

This data is stored under your iCloud account. It is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. The developer of Soonwise cannot read, retrieve, or share it.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand whether features are working and where the app can improve, Soonwise sends a small number of anonymous, aggregate signals — for example, that a task was created or completed, or that a forecast was viewed — through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service. These signals contain no task titles, notes, tags, dates, or any other personal data, are not linked to your identity, store no IP address, and are never used for advertising or cross-app tracking. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → About → "Help improve Soonwise."

So that using Soonwise on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac counts as one person rather than three, the app generates a random identifier and syncs it between your own devices through iCloud. It is randomly generated, contains no personal information, is used only to group these anonymous signals, and is scrambled before any signal is sent. It is not tied to your name, email, Apple Account, or any other identifying detail, and it is never shared with anyone else.

What Soonwise does not do

It does not send your tasks, notes, tags, or any personal data to the developer or to any third-party server.
It does not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
It does not display ads or share data with advertisers.
It does not track you across apps or websites.

Purchases

Soonwise offers a one-time unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled by Apple — Soonwise never sees or stores your payment information. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account, and you can restore it on your other devices.

How to delete your data

Because your data lives on your devices and in your own iCloud:

Remove it from a device by deleting the Soonwise app.
Remove it from iCloud via Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Soonwise, then delete the app's data.

There is no server-side copy held by the developer, so no deletion request to us is necessary.

Children's privacy

Soonwise is rated for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
